HB-40510 H-Shaped Barndominium Plan: Two 2-Car Garages Built Into The Wings

Most H plans leave the garage for later. HB-40510 builds in two of them: a two-car garage flanking the entrance at each wing, which makes it the plan to look at if you need room for four vehicles, or two vehicles and a shop.

At a standard finish of $80–$120 per square foot of heated space, 4,000–4,999 sq ft comes to about $320,000 – $599,880. A high-end finish at $150 or more per square foot starts around $600,000. Land, site work, septic and utilities are extra, and porches price closer to shell rates.

Lot Width Needed

The overall footprint for this plan is shown on the floor plan drawing. Add your county's side setbacks to both sides of that width; on rural parcels they commonly run 10 to 25 feet a side.
